Public 'Adyashradha' ceremony of Dr.Hazarika performed at Udalguri

Udalguri district administration organized public 'Adyashradha' ceremony of music maestro Dr.Bhupen Hazarika at DC's parade ground on November 15 with day long programme.High ranking officials,leading citizens of the district,students and teachers of various schools and employees of the government offices attended the ceremony to show respect to departed soul. Kulen Talukdar,ADC,Udalguri offered floral tribute to the image of Dr. Hazarika to mark the beginning of the ceremony at 10 AM followed by Mihir Kumar Barua,ADC;MP Sarma,PD,DRDA;Binit Das,District Election Officer and Debajit Deuri,SP,Udalguri and others.This was followed by community prayer. Various Holy books were recited by -Debaraj Sapkota (Gita);Balbir Sing (Granth Sahib);Rahul Amin (Quoran);Rafael Mushahari (Bible) respectively.A few distinguished people of the district namely- Manik Sarma,President,Asom Sahitya Sabha,Udalguri;Badan Daimari,President,Bodo Sahitya Sabha,Udalguri also attended the ceremony to offer hearty respect to the departed singer.Various persons performed favorite songs of Dr.Hazarika on the occasion. Munin Sarma, a close associate of Dr.Hazarika anchored the proceeding till its end.
