Stop killing,kidnapping and extortion: Says BTC chief Hagrama
BTC chief Hagrama Mahilary openly appealed people of BTAD immediately to stop killing,kidnapping and extortion in Bodoland districts. Attending the inaugural ceremony of a SBI branch and a Bodoland Guest House at the sub-divisional HQ Bhergaon on April 30,he declared in front of nearly five thousand people that antisocial activities by a section of people of Bodoland had been posing serious threat to normal life here in BTAD. Speaking as the chief guest,he also said that BTC authority had been doing its best for a prosperous Bodoland for all communities or religions.On the occasion he declared that an amount of rupees 250 crore would be utilised for the establishment of one bamboo industry,one model marketing shed and a model fishery in all the four districts of BTAD.
Salil Saran,GM,SBI NE Head Office attending the ceremony as the distinguished guest said that the new branch at Bhergaon had been made as per latest standard and techniques. VP Tiwari,AGM (RV) SBI drew appreciation of people while speaking in Bodo language. The inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Lwmsrao Daimari,EM.BTC and Biswajit Daimari, MP (RS). The new Bodoland Guest House which has been constructed at an amount of rupees 45 lakhs was also inaugurated by BTC chief. More over BTC chief also laid the foundation stone of two dilapidated roads namely- Badura to Prabhu Chuburi and Khoirabari to Jamuguri.Thaneswar Malakar,DC,Udalguri, Dipankar Purkayastha,DGM,SBI;Maheswar Boro,district president BPF; other EMs,MCLAs etc also attended the inaugural ceremony.
