In a tragic incident one person died and 21 injured due to lightning at Outala near Mangaldai in Darrang district on April 14 at 10 AM.It has been informed that one Sandhi Ram Deka (50), a cultivator of Ahaka village was busy in the funeral of his sister (65) along with other villagers.The sudden lightning struck all the people at the cremation ground resulting instant death of Sandhi Ram Deka. Other 21 people were seriously injured.Among them the condition of Ratna Deka and Deben Deka were critical.In another related incident,two other persons named Sanjay Borah and Thaneswar Deka,who had come to attend the funeral were injured seriously in a bike accident at the same place.
