4 NDFB (R) surrendered at Udalguri

Another milestone of peace was added to Udalguri with the ceremonial surrender of four cadres belonging to Ranjan Daimari faction of National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) today here at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district.Thaneswar Malakr, Deputy Commissioner and Satyajit Nath,Addl SP of Udalguri district thanked the 3 Assam Rifles stationed at Mazbat for its untiring effort to bring Biraj Basumatary (22), of Satiya in Sonitpur district and a Myanmar trained cadet of the outfit of its 35 Batch, Naresh Basumatary(21) of Tamulpur, Baksa, a cadet of 35 batch of the outfit trained in Myanmar,Umesh Basumatary (20) of Gandhibari of Baksa district trained in Bangladesh and Tarun Narzary of Dhekiajuli trained in Bangladesh for their wishes to return to normal life by surrendering with four hand grenades, four live cartridges, four fuses, one magazine of pistol and a 9mm pistol.The surrender ceremony was also addressed by MP Sarmah, PD,DRDA,Udalguri,while Major Binod of 3 Assam Rifles (Naga Hills) and Palash Ahom Rajkumar, EAC were also present on the occasion. It is to be noted that, four such other NDFB cadres belonging to Ranjan Daimari faction had already surrendered with arms on September 17, November 16 in 2011, March 27 and April 3 this year to the district administration
